The first time you drive a segment, a line will be mapped on your TotalPave web portal based on where you have driven. The line will be segmented at an interval of your choosing determined at the time of account setup (default 100m). Subsequent runs on the same segment will map IRI data to the existing segments.
To collect IRI data, follow these steps from the main page of the app:
- Press “Start Data Collection” at the start of the project
- Follow posted speed limits and traffic laws, otherwise try to maintain a uniform speed throughout testing. Operating speed is anywhere above 20km/h (12mph). Where maximum accuracy is required, it is recommended to remain at or below 80km/h (50mph).
- Do not interact with the phone in any way while data is being recorded
- When you reach the end point of the project, press Stop Data Collection
- Log in to your TotalPave web portal to view your IRI data
The first time you collect data on a project, it can take up to 24-48hrs for the line to appear in the account. Subsequent runs on existing segments will appear on the account within a few minutes.
Note: Maximum logging time is dependant on your device's hardware. It is recommended to stop logging every 1 to 1.5 hrs to avoid data loss.
