Editing the sampling method alters the way samples are created when you initiate a PCI survey. You can select from the following options
- Custom - Allows the surveyor to create samples on the fly based on their own user input dimension
- Acceptable Error - Follows standard sampling calculations as per ASTM-D6433. Determines the minimum number of samples required to obtain a statistically adequate estimate (95% confidence) of the PCI of the section
- Simple - The system calculates the total number of possible samples, then requires the user to survey a certain number of them
To alter the sampling method from the Settings page, follow these steps:
- Click the PCI tab
- Under the Sampling Method heading, click the dropdown menu
- Select your sampling method
