Sections of road are preloaded in your TotalPave account. When you drive a section while running the TotalPave IRI app, an IRI value will be calculated if the system detects you've adequately covered the section. The IRI data is made available on your TotalPave Web Portal after it has been uploaded.
To collect IRI data follow these steps from the main page of the app:
- Press “Start Data Collection” and get up to speed before reaching the start point of the targeted sections
- Follow posted speed limits and traffic laws, otherwise try to maintain a uniform speed throughout testing. Operating speed is anywhere above 20km/h (12mph). Where maximum accuracy is required, it is recommended to remain at or below 80km/h (50mph).
- Do not interact with the phone in any way while data is being recorded
- When you have driven the desired sections, press Stop Data Collection
Note: Maximum logging time is dependant on your device's hardware. It is recommended to stop logging every 1 to 1.5 hrs to avoid data loss.
